Cleaning Bathroom Tiles

Using tile for your bathroom floor is a very economical practice because it is very durable and easy to clean. However, if they are left untouched for a length of time, mineral and soap deposits are bound to accumulate. Grout stains will also eventually be apparent where mildew and mould have grown. Getting them cleaned is a project that requires a good bit of elbow grease as well as some good cleaners.

Start by wetting the tiles using a spray on bathroom cleaner. Commence scrubbing with a kitchen sponge that is appropriate for this purpose. Do the whole area, focusing on the surface of the tiles.

Work over it in circular motions putting a good bit of pressure on the tiles. Make alterations on the latter by scrubbing in straight lines, back and forth on the edges. Once you are done, rinse the surface with warm water.

If there are still deposits clouding the surface of the tile, determine if the residue is from hard water, iron content, or soap. High iron stains are typically brownish in colour while water is greenish. Soap, on the other hand, leave behind a milky film.
